
Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her breakthrough role was in the film Miss Bala, a Mexican crime drama film Miss Bala. Then, she was in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015) and Going Under (2016). Sigman was the main character in Narcos (2015), S.W.A.T. (2017) and the second season of both of the series. Sigman was born to her Mexican mother, and an American father, Lee Sigman (a New York Yankees Scout from Kansas), who both were born in Ciudad Obregon. Sigman is a U.S. citizen through her father. [2][3][4] Her father, the baseball athlete Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. Her first professional work was in Mexican television before making her debut on film in Rio de Oro. She played Laura Guerrero, the lead in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime-drama film. [6] The film was selected as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 84th Academy Awards.[7][8But, it didn't make the final list. In recognition of her performance in the film, Sigman was nominated in 2011 for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award. The next year, she appeared as Catalina Aguado in the Canadian documentary film Flight of the Butterflies. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer which was which was a Norwegian thriller.
